In Japanese, the symbol at left means "outside" or
"foreign." Alone it is usually pronounced "soto," but paired it is
usually pronounced "gai-" as is, "Gaiden" or "Gaijin" for foreigner. It
is also often used to refer to things that are alternative, on the
fringe, or out of the norm. This is where GAI live, on the outside,
breaking the rules.
Koyono designs apparel and accessories for the
lifestyles of the GAI: busy people who need and appreciate
high-quality, high-performance, and style. People with talent, vision,
and passion.
